Intelligence Analyst

Responsible to:

Business Intelligence Manager

The role of Intelligence Analyst will see the successful candidate support the Business Intelligence Manager in providing analytical support to projects modelling and evaluating healthcare and social care services, using a range of analytical techniques and a sound knowledge of the healthcare business. They will be expected to conduct highly complex analysis of diverse data to inform and support the organisation to deliver its strategic vision. This opportunity will reward those that are willing to immerse themselves in NHS research, relationships, policies and financial plans to provide a strong contextual foundation upon which to build clear and coherent data analysis, satisfying the requirements to key stakeholders.

An excellent understanding of NHS standards, definitions and healthcare systems will allow the successful postholder to effectively interpret varied data sets from multi-disciplinary teams, and subsequently drive innovation within the organisation according to best practice findings. The role is a great opportunity to combine significant data analysis experience with strong intrapersonal skills, to present and communicate complex concepts to non-expert stakeholders. To succeed in this role, you will have experience with using specialist analytical software, as well as the ability to critically evaluate processes and impact.

Senior Information Governance Officer

Responsible to:

Head of Information Governance – HinM/GM HSCP

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual to play a vital role in supporting the implementation of the necessary IG compliance arrangements needed for health and care digital transformation programmes within GM. Reporting to the Head of IG, you will undertake data protection impact assessments and have responsibility in ensuring legal and national policy compliance by documenting and maintaining the necessary IG compliance. You will collaborate with peers in GM organisations, project leads and clinical leads, ensuring a coordinated approach to successfully deliver key programmes and complete the necessary information to ensure the accountability principle is met.

The successful candidate will provide specialist expert knowledge and advice in IG, Data Protection and Freedom of Information to senior managers; being well versed with the interpretation and application of the Data Protection Act, UK GDPR, Caldicott principles, Freedom of Information Act and exemption legislation with an awareness of the principles of Confidentiality. You will have undertaken IG-related qualifications and have substantial experience within Information Governance Assurance – having written and implemented organization wide policies, assessed risk in an IG environment and coordinated IG Toolkit/Data Security and Protection Toolkit returns. In addition, you will be a clear and capable written and verbal communicator.
